AABB Accredited Relationship (DNA) Testing

AABB is an international organization that accredits relationship (DNA) testing laboratories.

The Relationship Testing Accreditation Program is based on standards for the performance of tests for relationship and provides for the assessment and accreditation of laboratories performing relationship testing. This accreditation helps laboratories achieve quality performance. – AABB

AABB accredited laboratory guidelines:

• Strict experience, education and continuing education requirements for personnel
• Use of approved testing methods
• Periodic external and internal reviews
• Regularly scheduled laboratory inspections
• Accurate calibration of all laboratory equipment

FQS-I Accredited Forensic DNA Testing

Forensic Quality Services International (FQS-I) provides accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025 forensic test laboratories.

FQS is the longest established provider of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation to forensic testing agencies in the United States. FQS accredited the first U.S. forensic testing agency to ISO/IEC 17025 and the first crime scene unit in the Americas to ISO/IEC 17020.

FQS is a full member and signatory of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and Inter American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA).

FQS is recognized by the FBI to perform QAS DNA assessment and is recognized by the NIJ as a provider. In addition to our accreditation services we also offer a wide variety of training, workshops, and academic programs. – ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board
